End-to-end data exchange for all participants in the automotive value chain? It sounds like a dream, but it could become a reality soon. Catena-X is a rapidly scalable, expandable ecosystem in which all participants in the automotive value chain can participate equally. In particular, this platform strives to boost SMEs’ digital maturity. The goal: providing an environment for the deployment, operation, and collaborative use of end-to-end data chains along the entire automotive value chain.

Talk 2: Digital transformation in legal industry – showcased on Swiss Data Protection Act (DPA)
Jacqueline Stählin

The exponential growth of data poses the biggest challenge to the legal industry. Currently available tools do not meet the needs of lawyers when looking for the crucial facts in hundreds of thousands of documents.
We will talk about the three critical success factors of our novel eDiscovery and Consulting approach for document-intensive legal scenarios, like prosecution or due diligence of company transactions: Transparency, tailoring to legal system and analytics services.
In a hands-on demo, we show how lawyers can leverage state of the art technology to gain accuracy and increase cost efficiency. The solution is based on a search engine on cross-referenced and context-enriched documents facilitated by NLP.
While actual projects are highly confidential, the demo makes use of the Swiss data protection act (DPA) legal corpus as well as commentaries (e.g. by FDPIC) to illustrate the power of the approach.
