Privacy Technologies for Data Collaboration

There is an unmet need for security and privacy in data analytics and data collaboration between enterprises. This expert group explores industry-proven security and privacy technologies and develops practical use-cases especially for data analysis and data sharing between organisations.

One of the explored technologies is using hardware-based trusted execution environments and is called confidential computing. It is currently promoted by industry leaders like Intel, Microsoft, Google and others. The promise of confidential computing is that “data-in-use” can be protected from third parties like platform & cloud providers.

The goal of this expert group is to bring together data scientists and privacy & security experts from practice and academia as well as potential users. The expert group will focus on knowledge sharing about the related technologies and on discussing how it can be applied to solve real-world privacy, security and confidentiality problems. The expert group is not limited to specific industries and we welcome any member regardless of prior expertise.
